This week I've made significant progress on the spiral staircase for my A-Frame model house. It's a very slow and complicated process as each stair must be glued seperately. It is about halfway completed and I can begin to see the spiral stair case look. I can't wait to see the stair case as part of the house and how it fits in. This should be the last peice before I begin to peice the different components of the house together.
I'm Chris and I am a student in 10th grade. This blog is for my art that I create in my Advanced Computer Graphics class. The main purpose for me is really to see my art improve throughout my high school career. So thank you for visiting and please enjoy.

Stair Case
Stair Case
This week I begin on the last thing I have to construct and it is the spiral stair case. I have assembled all of the seperate stairs and now they have to be welded (glued) to the center pole. The project is really coming together as I have to walls already set in place on the floor plan. I'm excited to finish, not because I want to be done, but because I am excited to see the final product. It's been tough but I'm almost there, almost done. I should have the stair case finished by this Friday as well.

A-Frame Model House
A-Frame Model House
This week I have been working on wall frames and structures. Even though I am working on a small scale model it looks very similar to the real frame and structure of a house. I've watched a video of a house being built and it closely resembles my project but on a much larger scale of course. I find it very interesting and I'm really enjoying this project. I can see the finished product and it is not too far away.

Finished Floor
Finished Floor
This week I finished the floor plan and it looks really nice. Now I can finally move onto constructing the house. I can't wait to see it all come together and have a nice finished peice. I'm really enjoying this project. The next step would be to construct the interior of the house including the spiral staircase.

The Floor Plan
The Floor Plan
This week I've been working on the floor plan for the A-Frame house. I've cut the pieces for almost the whole plan but have yet to put it together. The floor plan is tough because it needs to be nailed and not glued and the nails are small and fall out easily. It looks like this project will take longer than what I was hoping but I was very hopeful in the first place. The project will be finished most likely one to two weeks after winter break. I still can see it all coming together and I can't wait until I have a nice finished project.

A-Frame's In Process
A Frame's In Process
This week I completed six A-Frame's out of eight for my A-Frame model house project. It was challenging at first but as time progressed and I completed more frames it got quite simple. I'm at the point now where I don't even need to refer to the directions or measurements to make a frame. The next step in the project after all of the frames are constructed would be the floor, roof and interior. I'm very delighted to see the progress that I've made already and I like seeing physical results. I hope to have this project completed by Winter break.

A-Frame Model House Project Start
A-Frame Model House Project Start
This week I've begun a project that I'm probably more excited about than any project I've worked on this year. I am attempting to construct a 3/4th scale model of an A-Frame house. 3/4th scale means that 3/4th's of an inch in my model would be equal to one foot in a full scale model house. The project is very professional and comes with realistic floor plans. I must follow the floor plans very carefully if I want the house to come out like it is supposed to. I'm very excited to gain experience and see the final product.
